Dr. David completed her fellowship in Medical Oncology & Hematology at Fox Chase Cancer Center/ Temple University Health System, Philadelphia , in June 2002, after completing her residency in Internal Medicine at University of Pennsylvania Health System . She has been a medical oncologist & hematologist in Augusta, since August 2002. Dr. David is Board Certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine.

Dr. David is committed to providing the most up to date treatment options and focuses on quality of care and wellbeing of the patient. She stays current with advances in clinical management protocols by her frequent participation at conferences and adherence to NCCN guidelines. With her approach being described by patients as “gentle” yet “thorough”, Dr. Alice David believes in combining compassion and empathy with evidence-based cancer management. Dr. David is on Medical Staff at University Hospital, Trinity Hospital of Augusta and Doctors Hospital. She serves frequently as consultant for several oncology networks, which bring together cancer specialists to discuss latest advances.

What motivated her into choosing Oncology as a sub specialty was experiencing her own mother face the diagnosis of cancer. Having felt God’s sustaining strength and grace during her mother’s illness, Dr. David believes she is able to address the challenges faced by her patients and their families. Today her crusade against cancer and blood disorders extends beyond her office hours. She is on the Board of “The Lydia Project”, a community based organization that provides support to women diagnosed with cancer and supports other cancer organizations including American Cancer Society.

Music is a passion for Dr. David. In her spare time she likes to cook and entertain and is fond of traveling and enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
